Elliott Power built K-9INE! around strict technical and spatial limits. He says: "We shot on 35mm film stock using a Panavision Panaflex camera in a 1.37:1 aspect ratio", and located the action in a single house chosen because it had "enough character to hold your attention for eleven minutes." Those choices made the image tactile and the frame claustrophobic, putting emphasis on behaviour, composition and production design rather than spectacle.
Power frames the constraint as creative fuel: "The constraint of a single location became a strength, forcing us to find depth in behaviour, space and atmosphere rather than scale." That discipline dictated lighter crews, deliberate coverage and props that reveal character at a glance, so every shoot day and prop hire had intentional purpose.
